It was my last day as a first-year student today, and I am so glad to have that year behind me. I gave all my work in for marking, although there wasn't much since I never did anything, and then went to the cinema with Elle to see 'Public Enemies'.
As you may or may not know, I am deeply interested in criminals/killers/gansters and such, mainly The Kray's, Ed Gein, George Jung and of course, John Dillinger. However, the movie bored me and if Johnny Depp wasn't in it, I would have walked out. I felt both the direction and production was sloppy, and I kept getting put-off by the small cameo roles being filled by English actors who have previously been in small comedies, the guy from Step Up/She's The Man and Stephen Dorff...
But well done Johnny, you were a fantastic Dillinger and you did well with the little you were given to work with...
After that we sneaked in to a showing of 'Bruno', but just before the movie started two guys came around checking ID's so we got outta there. You get banned if you get caught, and I can't risk getting banned before Harry Potter, ha ha.
I'm going into town tomorrow to have a look around and perhaps have a bit of a spend-up. Not much though, since I haven't got a lot of money and it's Rachel's birthday next Friday. I'm going to look around the charity and second-hand stores, see if I can find some cool buys. I had a quick glimpse the other day in one of them, and saw a really nice guys cloth shirt, like the lumberjack things ya know? I don't know what they are really called. Anyway, I'm not sure how much it was or if it will fit but I've got my hopes up that it's still there.
I might get my ears pierced again, but it depends on how much it is!
I will post tomorrow with pictures of what I buy :)
